This policy covers www.beightstech.com and the services Beights LLC ("BeightsTech," "we," "us") provides from Naples, Florida. It explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Short version: we collect what we need to answer you and do the work. We don't sell your information.

Information you give us
You give us information when you contact us or hire us. That usually includes:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and business name
- What you need help with, including details you send about your business, your equipment, or your current systems
- Mailing or service address, when we're coming to you or shipping something
- Anything you send by email, text, voicemail, or through a form on this site
If you buy something from our store or sign up for an account, we also collect order details and account login information.
Payment information
We don't store full card or bank numbers. Online payments on this site are handled by our payment processor, and your card details go to them, not to us. We see confirmation of the payment and the last few digits of the card.
If we're setting you up with merchant services or a point-of-sale system, the application goes to the processor or provider you choose. They collect what they need for underwriting, which can include your Social Security number, bank account information, and business tax ID. That information is governed by their privacy policy and their agreement with you, and we share with them only what the application requires.
Information collected automatically
This site runs on Squarespace. Squarespace and the tools we use on the site set cookies and record basic technical information for every visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time on the page, and the site or search that sent you here. We use this to see what's working on the site and to keep it running.
Cookies are small files your browser stores. Some are needed for the site to work (staying logged in, keeping items in a cart). Others are for analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and parts of the site may stop working if you do.
We may also use advertising tools from companies like Google and Meta to measure which ads bring people to the site and to show our ads to people who have visited it. When those tools are running, the company behind them receives information about your visit, including your IP address and the pages you looked at. You can turn off personalized ads in your Google ad settings and in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and you can block the cookies in your browser.
Email and text messages
If you ask us to add you to a list, we'll email you about services, offers, and updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we'll take you off the list when you use it.
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your project, your appointment, or your account. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop them. We don't sell or share mobile numbers with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share information with
We share information in four situations:
1. Service providers who run parts of our business. That includes Squarespace (website and store), our email and calendar provider, our payment processor, and the accounting and scheduling tools we use. They can only use the information to do their job for us.
2. Partners and providers you ask us to involve. If you're getting a point-of-sale system, a merchant account, or an installation, we pass along what that provider needs to set you up and support you.
3. When the law requires it. A subpoena, a court order, a tax or regulatory request, or a situation where we think someone is at risk of harm.
4. If the business is sold or merged, your information would transfer with it.
We don't sell your personal information. The one exception to the list above is the advertising tools described in the cookie section, which receive information about your visit to this site but not the details you send us about your business.
How long we keep it
Client records, project files, and invoices stay in our system for seven years, which covers tax and warranty questions after a job is done. Inquiries that don't turn into work are deleted within two years. Photo and video files we shot for you are kept until you tell us to delete them, and we'll check with you before we remove anything.
Keeping it safe
We use password managers, two-factor authentication, and encrypted storage on the accounts that hold client information. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll notify you as required by Florida law.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Send you a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your information, except records we're required to keep
- Stop sending you marketing email or texts

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state or country's privacy law. We apply the rights above to everyone who asks, wherever you are.
Children
This site isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think your child sent us something, email info@beightstech.com and we'll delete it.
Other sites
Our pages link to other companies' sites, including processors, software vendors, and our social accounts. Once you leave our site, their privacy policy applies, not ours.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be posted on this page.
